A key player in data centre services located in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Data Centre Facility Management Operations Engineer. This role involves managing critical operations and maintenance of facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and handling vendor activities. The ideal candidate will have at least a diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Proficiency in M&E systems and HVAC operations is highly advantageous.
You'll be responsible in managing critical facilities operations and maintenance, PPM planner, maintenance contracts and regulatory licensing management, reviewing of customer reports, to meet challenging requirements and timeline.
Manage critical Data Centre Facilities operations, ensure all necessary M&E equipment are operating in good and well-maintained conditions via the effectiveness on developing, review and execute facilities operation SOP, MOP, EOP and PPM Planner.
Manage and ensure optimum M&E systems functional to support critical Data Centre operation, such as HT, LV, power generators, UPS, PDU, chillers, air conditioning system such as CRAC/CRAH, water pump systems, as well as the building fire protection systems.
Be one of the key facilities personnel to manage and work closely with facilities operation teams and the other relevant stakeholders to manage critical facilities operations and to meet customer expectations and requirements.
Ensure in-house or outsources technical personnel are carried out all maintenance activities according to plan schedules and he agreement & manufacture requirement.
Coordinate & supervise vendor to perform schedule maintenance.
Practicing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
To executive and manage Job Order ticketing on internal and external stakeholders' enquiries related to facilities' equipment, Data Centre equipment rack's information and other general enquiries related to M&E, HVAC operations and Data Centre facilities.
Coordinate manpower to support, record and close the Job Order request upon work completion, to update the requesters completion of the Job Order request.
Monitoring all works done by the vendors or contractors, chargeman and technicians to ensure work quality and performance without disrupting the critical data centre operations.
To assist and monitor, filing and consolidate documentation such as facilities PPM master planner, actual execution, and service/maintenance reports systematically to ensure future reference and audit purposes.
Manage and overcome day-to-day work challenges, scope or roles and responsibility assigned by superior, to contribute valuable support to achieve management target with minimum supervision.
To manage and provide timely updates, overcome issues related to work progress, incidents, and corrective or preventive maintenance activity.
To support and standby on-site as and when there is operation support needed.
Possess at least STPM, diploma, bachelor’s degree, or any relevant engineering qualification with minimum 3 years of working experience.
Knowledge in Data Centre facilities M&E systems, HVAC operations will be a plus-point for consideration.
Good data interpreting skills and computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point (Intermediate level or above).
