Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a WSHE Officer to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety, Health, and Environmental standards for a Data Center construction project. The ideal candidate will implement and monitor HSE plans, drive site safety culture, and oversee high-risk operations. Applicants should possess a degree in Occupational Safety & Health, be registered with DOSH, and have 4-5 years of relevant HSE experience in construction. This role is crucial for delivering safe and effective workplace practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-5 years HSE experience in construction projects.
  • Data Center / critical facilities / M&E-heavy project experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and site engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Project HSE Plan and ensure compliance with OSHA 1994.
  • Monitor and drive contractor HSE performance and compliance.
  • Conduct daily inspections and enforce PPE and safe work practices.
  • Supervise high-risk works including lifting and rigging.
  • Report, investigate, and analyze incidents and unsafe conditions.

Skills

Strong understanding of construction HSE regulations & standards
Strong communication and site engagement skills
Able to work independently in a fast-paced site environment

Education

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (or related field)
Registered with DOSH (SHO)
Minimum 4–5 years HSE experience in construction projects
