Our Kuala Lumpur office is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst Compliance to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

The Data Analyst will play a central role in transforming diverse organisational data into meaningful, statistically robust insights. Working across multiple data domains including Operational & Delivery data, Commercial data, Finance & Risk, Quality & Compliance, Human Capital & Capacity, Client & Vendor performance, and Strategic & Board‑level reporting. The Data Analyst will ensure the business has accurate, timely and actionable intelligence.

This role requires strong analytical capability, excellent data‑handling skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings through clear visualisations, dashboards, and narrative insight. The successful candidate will contribute directly to organisational decision‑making, efficiency improvements, and performance measurement, and should be comfortable using AI‑powered analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction, Processing & Validation
  • Collect, clean and structure datasets from multiple data sources.
  • Validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all datasets prior to analysis.
  • Standardise unstructured or semi‑structured data into usable formats.
  • Maintain documented data‑capture and transformation processes.
  • Prepare data for modelling, statistical analysis, forecasting, and dashboard creation.
Reporting, Visualisation & Insight Delivery
  • Produce clear, accurate and visually compelling reports, dashboards, scorecards, and trend analyses.
  • Present insights to internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and client‑facing teams.
  • Tailor outputs to user needs—from operational staff to executive boards.
  • Support the Commercial, Finance, HR, Operations, Quality, and Compliance teams with data‑driven insights.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits with validated datasets and analytics.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work with system owners, operational teams, and leadership to optimise data flows and reporting structures.
  • Identify opportunities for automation in data extraction, cleansing, and reporting processes.
  • Provide feedback to improve data capture quality, system fields, form design, and reporting templates.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise data standards and best practices.
Data Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all data is processed in line with organisational governance, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, version control, and traceability in all datasets and reporting outputs.
  • Support compliance reviews and risk assessments through reliable, well‑structured data.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience analysing multi‑domain datasets (operations, commercial, finance, HR, risk, compliance, or similar).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and AI‑based analytics tools.
  • Excellent data‑cleaning, transformation, and validation skills.
  • Strong statistical capability (trend analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, confidence measurements, etc.).
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for varied audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Intelligence or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) beneficial.
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Experience working with cross‑functional enterprise datasets.
  • Familiarity with automation for reporting or data extraction.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance frameworks, or audit processes.
  • Experience in operational, commercial, or financial analytics environments.

  • Comfortable working with large datasets and diverse data types.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise deadlines effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical teams.
HSE Awareness
