Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Malaysia, Selangor, is seeking a Cytotechnologist to screen specimens for abnormalities. The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and ideally have 1 to 2 years of experience in cytology screening. Key responsibilities include collaborating with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses and maintaining records. Attention to detail is crucial, along with knowledge in gynecologic and non-gynecologic evaluations. This role requires adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in cytology screening.
• CT (IAC) qualification is highly preferred.
• Familiar with gynecologic cytology and non-gynecologic specimen evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Screen gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens to identify cellular abnormalities.
• Identify and mark abnormal cells for further review by pathologist.
• Maintain quality control and accurate record-keeping for all screened slides.
• Collaborate with pathologist, lab scientists and medical staff to ensure accurate diagnosis.
• Participate in continuing education and departmental audits.
• Uphold all safety, infection control and confidentiality standards.
