Job summary

A logistics company in George Town is seeking a candidate to coordinate daily international and domestic shipments, including handling customs documentation and liaising with various government bodies. Candidates should have a minimum Diploma and 2-3 years of experience in logistics or customs brokerage. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, along with skills in Microsoft Office. Qualifications

  • KEK (Kursus Ejen Kastam) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with customs processes and systems (e.g., HS codes, duties, SST).

  • Prepare and process customs documentation.
  • Handle shipping documents for regulatory approvals.

Job description

Coordinate daily international and domestic shipments, including transport arrangements.

Prepare and process customs documentation (e.g., K1, K2, K3, K8, K9).

Handle shipping documents like Certificates of Origin, exemptions, and permits.

Liaise with government bodies such as MAQIS, LKIM, MTIB, MIDA, MITI, CIDB, SIRIM for regulatory approvals.

Submit import/export declarations and assist in resolving customs queries.

Verify and check disbursement invoices from service providers.

Support customers with timely updates and handle inquiries or issues professionally.

Ensure billing, documentation, and filing are accurate.

Support clerical/administrative tasks and assist with ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma from a recognized institution
  • At least 2-3 year of experience in forwarding, customs brokerage, or logistics preferred
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • KEK (Kursus Ejen Kastam) certification is a plus
  • Customs processes and systems (e.g., HS codes, duties, SST, drawback claims)
  • Freight flows (air, sea, cross-border trucking)
  • Certificate of Origin and exemption applications
