Job summary

A leading industrial supplier in Malaysia is seeking a qualified individual to manage customer inquiries and oversee the purchasing process in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The candidate will need to liaise with forwarding agents for shipping and customs documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in Purchasing or Customer Service is preferred. This role requires a responsible individual who can work under pressure and handle ad-hoc tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in SQL Accounting Software will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure, patient, careful, and responsible.
  • Preferably candidates with experience in Purchasing/Customer Service/Logistics or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer enquiries via phone and/or email.
  • Process and monitor the purchasing cycle.
  • Liaise with forwarding agents for shipping and customs declaration.
  • Cooperate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Comply with ad-hoc/last minute tasks.

  • Experience and knowledge in custom declaration flow will be an added advantage.
Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Handle and attend enquiries from customers via phone and/or email.
  • Process and promptly monitor the progress of the purchasing cycle.
  • Liaise with forwarding agents for shipping and custom declaration matter and ensure all processes are accurately documented.
  • Cooperate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Able to comply with ad-hoc / last minute tasks.
