A leading company in logistics is seeking an operational support specialist to enhance service delivery and customer relations. The role involves ensuring timely communications, monitoring service performance, and collaborating with sales teams to achieve service excellence. A strong emphasis on problem resolution and vendor management is crucial for success.
– Ensure timely quotation is sent to the Customer and booking is confirmed & sent promptly.
– Support operations & Sales in executing service delivery.
– Maintain carrier/vendor relations, e.g., securing spot rates, equipment, space protections, priority haulage, and customs broker services to meet agreed service levels.
– Monitor timely resolution of issues/queries from the operation team & respond promptly to customer inquiries.
– Ensure data integrity within systems.
– Responsible for cross-selling/up-selling, customer retention, and follow-up on freight outstanding payments.
– Monitor, record, and report on service performance, providing recommendations for improvements, whether related to service wins or failures.
– Collaborate with the sales team to establish and strengthen customer relationships.
– Ensure service excellence and develop a best-in-class platform for customers/clients.
