Job summary

A logistics company in Klang City is seeking a motivated individual to manage and process shipping documentation and inquiries. The role involves arranging transportation and ensuring smooth operations with customers and suppliers for both air and ocean shipments. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency in web-based applications and Microsoft Office. Applicants should possess at least SPM or equivalent education.

Job description

Receive, review, verify and process documentation from customer, shipping agent, co-loader, customs agent & overseas offices/agents;

Inform delivering parties of customs clearance, delivery instructions and required information;

Handle daily tasks, customer enquiries, inbound & outbound shipments;

Work closely with customers & suppliers to ensure smooth operation planning;

Preparation of shipping documents;

Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to customers;

Assist customers with inquiries (via email & telephone);

Meet KPI standards, as per the company’s procedures;

Arrange for transportation, warehousing, or product distribution of imported or exported products;

Handling customer’s enquiries and shipment closely;

Able to handle Air & Ocean (FCL & LCL) shipment for exportation & importation;

All correspondence, relevant to a specific job file, must be kept in the job file at all times and updating into company’s system;

To build close, strong relationships with all customers, hauliers, trucking vendor and agents as well;

Declaration of ZB1, ZB2 & ZB4;

Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a SPM / higher Secondary / STPM;

Min 1 year working experience in related field;

Pleasant personal, dynamic and aggressive;

Required language: English & Bahasa Malaysia;

Effective communication and interpersonal skills;

Excellent work ethics and able to work independently and responsible with minimal supervision;

Good command / familiar with web-based applications (Port & Carrier systems), Microsoft Office applications & general computer knowledge;

Knowledge on HS Codes;

Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and GMP will be an added advantage.
