Job description

Oriental Fastech Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Costing Executive/Business Analyst to join their team in Simpang Ampat Penang. This full‑time role will involve providing strategic analysis and reporting to support the company's key business objectives.

What you'll be doing

Prepare, maintain, and continuously enhance product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis to ensure cost transparency and data integrity.

Analyse key cost drivers, contribution margins, and overall profitability by product, customer, and project, translating data into actionable commercial insights.

Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and ongoing cost control initiatives to strengthen financial governance and performance discipline.

Work closely with Operations, Planning, and Procurement teams to validate cost assumptions, bills of materials, and production‑related inputs.

Monitor actual costs against standards and estimates, proactively identifying variances, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Assist in pricing analysis, quotation reviews, and profitability assessments to support sound commercial and strategic decisions.

Prepare structured management reports, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analyses for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Support internal controls, audits, and documentation related to costing, analysis, and financial compliance.

Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and data reliability across functions.

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience in costing, financial analysis, or finance‑related roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and structured problem‑solving capabilities.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Syteline or equivalent).

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.

Highly detail‑oriented, methodical, and commercially minded, with a strong focus on margins, accuracy, and business impact.
