Job summary

A leading corporate services provider in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Corporate Secretarial staff member to provide essential advisory services. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant educational qualification and have a minimum of 6 years experience. Responsibilities include overseeing corporate governance and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act. Qualifications

You are invited to join us as a vital part of Mega Corporate Services primarily, gaining exposure to all areas of review and developing clients’ governance programs to ensure that they’re updated and in keeping with best practices for different companies. In conjunction with your work exposure, we will support your to pursue a professional qualification and to be qualified to act as named company secretaries upon application to the Companies Commission of Malaysia for a Practising Certificate under Section 241 of the Companies Act 2016.

Responsibilities
  • Provide corporate secretarial services and advisory work to clients
  • Attend board meetings
  • Supervise, support and provide guidance to subordinates, ensuring that all communications with clients is supported with proper documentation and that deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory compliance in the corporate secretariat is met.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Studies/ ICSA or its equivalent
  • Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is added advantage
  • Candidate with knowledge on listing requirements and Companies Act are preferred.
  • Familiar with all aspects of corporate secretarial practice and have experience in handling corporate secretarial matters of listed companies.
  • Preferably at least 6 years’ experience in Corporate Secretarial work.
  • Have good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
  • Be a leader and team player with strong sense of responsibility, initiative and a can-do attitude.
  • Be able to work independently with minimum supervision from the superiors, lead and motivate a team of professional staff.
  • Must be computer literate
