Job summary

A leading digital economy organization is seeking a Practical Trainee for its Corporate Communications team in Selangor. The intern will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events, providing hands-on experience in event management and stakeholder coordination. Candidates should be pursuing relevant fields such as Event Management or Business Administration, and should have strong communication skills. This internship is available only for Malaysian students and offers a chance to develop practical skills in a professional setting.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree related to event management or business.
  • Able to commit to a minimum 4-month internship.
  • Provide a university letter for internship placement if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating corporate events and meetings.
  • Prepare and manage event-related documents such as schedules and registration tracking.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist during event setup and operations.

Skills

Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately
Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with multitasking and meeting deadlines

Education

Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management
