Are you a detail‑oriented professional with strong corporate support, immigration, and compliance experience? Top Beraten Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a versatile Corporate Advisor to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. This full‑time role is ideal for someone who excels in problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and navigating complex regulatory requirements while working alongside both internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as an intermediary with licensed company secretaries (Company Secretarial), including coordinating statutory filings, corporate updates, and compliance matters.
  • Liaising with external legal counsel on litigation‑related matters and managing documentation and communication as required.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and refining contracts, policies, and internal governance documents.
  • Handling visa and immigration processes such as ESD registrations, work permits (EP, PVP, RPT), WRT applications, Long‑Term Social Visit Passes, and related regulatory submissions.
  • Supporting business license applications and practical compliance requirements with various Malaysian authorities.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and advising on implications for business operations.
  • Collaborating across departments to identify risks, propose solutions, and support operational decision‑making.
  • Contributing independently as a proactive initiator while also demonstrating agility and strong teamwork in cross‑functional projects.
  • Advising on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters to support the company's business objectives.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Providing guidance on visa and immigration requirements for clients' international workforce.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Staying up to date with changes in the legal and regulatory landscape.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the legal team.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate support, regulatory liaison, visa/immigration processing, or a similar compliance‑focused role.
  • Experience working with or coordinating closely with licensed company secretaries (CoSec), even if not a licensed cosec yourself.
  • Background in contract drafting, policy review, and document preparation.
  • Liaison experience with litigation matters (no practice experience required).
  • Strong problem‑solving ability with a strategic and solution‑driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business actions.
  • Adaptive, agile, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with initiative, while also being an effective team player.
  • Degree holders in Law (LLB), Bachelor of Legal Studies, or related fields are welcome – practising qualifications are not required.
  • Post‑qualification experience in a legal role, preferably with exposure to a range of commercial, corporate, and compliance matters.
  • Experience handling work permits (ESD, EP, PVP, RPT) for international clients, including business licence applications and other practical regulatory work.
  • Substantial experience in providing legal guidance to operational teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian laws and regulations, particularly related to corporate transactions, immigration, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment and supporting the development of more junior team members.
  • Adaptable and proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
