A leading property development firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior executive to oversee its property development business. This role requires a minimum of 20 years of experience in the property development industry, with proven leadership capabilities across multiple high-rise and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive business growth while maintaining financial performance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for stakeholder engagement and management team development.
Lead and oversee the entire property development business, ensuring all functions, including development, construction, contracts & procurement, marketing & sales, finance, administration, and support services operate efficiently, achieve objectives, and deliver sustainable business results.
Provide strategic direction and operational oversight, turning company strategy into effective execution, driving performance, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
Drive business growth and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Oversee and manage budgets, cash flow, and financial performance across all projects and business units to support strategic goals and ensure operational and financial success.
Ensure projects are delivered according to strategy, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide input during feasibility and development planning, including strategy, cost planning, and risk assessment, while driving cost efficiency, value optimisation, and risk management without compromising quality or compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive operational and commercial strategies.
Identify, manage, and mitigate strategic, operational, contractual, and business risks to ensure continuity and business resilience.
Lead negotiations with consultants, contractors, and joint venture partners, and present recommendations to the Board/ Management.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team, fostering accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Continuously improve operational frameworks, policies, and processes to support sustainable business growth and project delivery.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in any discipline.
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in property development industry.
Candidate must have experience in the full and end-to-end development cycle of at least 5 projects.
Proven track record in senior leadership roles overseeing multiple property development projects, preferably high-rise and mixed-use developments.
Strong commercial, financial, and strategic acumen, with exposure to development feasibility, budgeting, and cost control.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in stakeholder engagement and Board-level presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
