Job summary

A well-established legal firm in Selangor is seeking a young lawyer to assist in preparing and finalising Sale & Purchase Agreements and liaise with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate is freshly called to the Bar or has up to 1 year of experience, conversant in Mandarin and English, and willing to learn. This position is open only to Malaysian citizens.

Qualifications

  • Freshly called to the Bar or with up to 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Able to work independently and under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and finalising housing project Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPAs).
  • Liaise with developers, financial institutions, and government authorities.
  • Attend client signings, including during project launches on weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and finalising housing project Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPAs), loan documents and related conveyancing documentation.
  • Liaise with developers, financial institutions, purchasers and relevant government authorities to ensure smooth progress of each transaction.
  • Attend client signings, including during project launches on weekends.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and firm procedures.
  • Maintain proper file management and documentation tracking.
  • Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders on transaction status.
  • Perform legal research, drafting and other tasks assigned by partners or senior lawyers.
Requirements
  • LL.B (Hons) and admission to the Malaysian Bar.
  • Freshly called to the Bar or with up to 1 year of post‑qualification experience (PQE).
  • Conversant in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) to liaise with Chinese‑speaking clients.
  • Diligent, detail‑oriented and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently and under supervision.
  • Attend signing sessions during housing project launches, including weekends.
