Job summary

A leading recruitment platform in Johor Bahru seeks a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Manager to handle pre-tender cost estimates, manage contract documentation, and lead a team of Quantity Surveyors. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, have 5-10 years of relevant experience and be proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years for Assistant Contract Manager or 10 years for Contract Manager experience.
  • Proficient in relevant quantity surveying software.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pre-tender construction costs estimate and Contract Documents.
  • Conduct Tender Interviews and prepare Tender Evaluations.
  • Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and ensure project completion.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Prepare pre-tender construction costs estimate, Bills of Quantities for tender, Contract Documents, and Tender Invitation
  • Conduct Tender Interviews prepare Tender Evaluations and Report
  • Ensure discrepancies in tender are eliminated prior to tender awards
  • Proficiencies in all Forms of Contracts Forms
  • Regularly update current and build data bank for market's construction materials, equipment and labour prices
  • Process interim progress claims, preparation of interim certificates, payment recommendations, and Final Accounts
  • Evaluating Variation Orders, administer Contractual matters, evaluating, analyzing and recommending Extension of Time
  • Conduct site visit and works evaluations
  • Manage and lead a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • Any other tasks or assignments not mentioned herein but deemed necessary for the successful completion of works or objective shall deemed included, to be assigned by the Management from time to time without prior notice
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess a minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • At least 5 years, for Assistant Contract Manager; or 10 years for Contract Manager, of working experience holding similar position in the related field for this position
  • Leadership skills, all-rounder and team-player with positive mindset
  • Computer literate and good communication skills
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. Good command in Mandarin will be an added advantage
