Job summary

A leading job placement agency in Malaysia seeks a qualified candidate to assist in procurement and contracting processes. The ideal candidate will have at least a diploma in Surveying or related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in QS consultancy or property development, preferably involving commercial or high-rise projects. Responsibilities include reviewing recommendations from consultants and ensuring timely submission of progress claims, as well as liaison with various stakeholders to ensure project adherence to standards.

  • Preferable experience handling commercial or high-rise projects.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To assist in tendering, procurement, and contracting processes on technical matters;
  • To review interim recommendations from QS Consultant/ M&E Consultant/ Landscape Consultant and ensure interim certificate issued by Architect;
  • To ensure all valid Variation Orders compromised with Architect Instruction and Engineer Instruction;
  • To review the draft final account statement prepared by the consultant and ensure the final account statement is signed off by all parties;
  • To prepare and ensure the timely submission of the Contractor Monthly progress claim;
  • To conduct joint measurements to verify work completed by contractors;
  • To assist the Contract Manager to prepare reports and variation orders;
  • To liaise with consultants, architects, authorities, contractors, etc. to ensure works are carried out based on established procedures, specifications and contract requirements of the projects; and
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities, as instructed by the Superior
Requirements
  • Candidates must possess at least a diploma or Bachelor Degree in Surveying/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management;
  • At least 2 years working experience in QS consultancy firm/ Property Development;
  • Preferable with experienced in handling commercial projects/ high rise projects;
  • Knowledge of Standard Form of Contract (PAM/IEM/PWD);
  • Possess a positive attitude, ability to organize, plan, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
