Brief
We are seeking a Lead Editor for 2X’s Intelligent Content Solutions (ICS). This role is ideal for senior practitioners who demonstrate exceptional editorial judgment, deep understanding of B2B content standards, and the ability to elevate the clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment of assets across multiple teams.
Position Overview
The Lead Editor is the practice’s quality steward — overseeing editorial alignment, refining narratives, and elevating work from writers across levels. This role owns quality for high-impact assets, helps resolve content challenges before they become escalations, and partners closely with strategists and designers to ensure content is structurally and strategically sound.
This is a craft leadership role with influence across accounts, but without direct management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead editorial review for complex or high-stakes assets (whitepapers, reports, hero assets, multi-touch nurtures).
- Conduct structural, substantive, and tonal editing to ensure clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
- Enforce brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines; refine content for buyer relevance and narrative cohesion.
- Ensure Priority SLA assets meet elevated quality expectations before client submission.
- Maintain editorial guidelines and contribute to evolving quality scorecards for IC SIST.
- Identify recurring quality gaps across squads and propose scalable solutions.
- Partner with UI/UX, Design, and Campaign teams to unify content + creative execution.
- Participate in content planning sessions to provide early editorial guidance.
- Review, refine, and tune AI-assisted content outputs, ensuring accuracy and human-grade clarity.
- Provide input into Copy.ai workflow development and brand voice tuning guidelines.
- Guide writers through structured feedback, paired reviews, and ad hoc coaching.
- Contribute to training materials and templates to improve editorial capability across the Content Practice.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of B2B content experience
- Strong editorial background (corporate, agency, journalism, technical writing)
- Experience editing content for enterprise marketing teams
- Mastery in editing long-form and strategic B2B content
- Strong understanding of demand-generation content structures
- Ability to work with ambiguity and clarify complex narratives
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
