Job description

The Content Creator at Joy Design Studio is responsible for producing engaging, creative, and trend-driven content that highlights JOY’s furniture, interior design projects, brand personality, and team culture. This role balances hard selling and soft selling, using storytelling, humour, trends, and real‑life showroom and site moments to connect with audiences across digital platforms.

You will work closely with the Marketing Team, collaborate with KOLs and brand partners, and actively participate in content creation—both behind and in front of the camera. This role is ideal for a creative, confident individual who understands social media, enjoys teamwork, and is passionate about design and lifestyle content.

Key Responsibilities

• Create short‑form and long‑form content showcasing JOY’s furniture, interior design projects, showroom activities, and lifestyle concepts.
• Produce a mix of hard sale, soft sale, educational, storytelling, humour, and trending content.
• Actively participate in content (on‑camera) when required, including team‑based or lifestyle shoots.
• Keep up to date with social media trends, sounds, formats, and viral content.

Video & Graphic Production

• Shoot, edit, and publish videos for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other social channels.
• Design basic graphics, posters, thumbnails, and content visuals when needed.
• Ensure all content aligns with JOY’s brand image, tone, and creative direction.
• Advanced tools for video editing or graphic design will be considered a strong advantage.

Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work closely with the Marketing Team to plan content calendars, campaigns, and launches.
• Collaborate with KOLs, influencers, and cross‑branding partners to co‑create content.
• Coordinate and participate in content shoots, showroom activities, events, and site visits.
• Be part of JOY’s Creative Team, contributing ideas, concepts, and creative direction.

Talent & Shoot Coordination

• Assist in sourcing, hiring, or coordinating models and talents for photoshoots and video shoots.
• Help manage basic shoot logistics including styling coordination and content flow.

Communication & Engagement

• Communicate confidently in English and Bahasa Malaysia for both written and spoken content.
• Cantonese speaking ability will be an added advantage.
• Engage with staff to create staff‑featured content, behind‑the‑scenes moments, and team engagement posts.

Other Responsibilities

• Support marketing and branding initiatives as required.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks related to content, branding, or campaigns when necessary.
