Job summary

A leading data center developer in Johor Darul Takzim is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee all CSA works for a hyperscale data center. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with over 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Mandarin is required, as well as the ability to ensure compliance with design and safety standards. This permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from RM 17,000 to RM 23,000. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works on behalf of the project developer to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards.
• Ensure full compliance with design intent, construction programs, safety requirements, and quality benchmarks throughout all project stages.
• Monitor and evaluate the main contractor’s execution of structural, architectural, and external works from start to completion.
• Participate in regular site inspections, technical coordination meetings, and progress reviews to ensure timely delivery of CSA milestones.
• Work closely with the M&E team during construction and commissioning, managing interface issues and confirming structural/architectural readiness.
• Manage project scope, budget, risks, and design alignment to support overall project performance.
• Review contractor performance and provide sign‑off for major engineering and construction decisions.
• Lead day‑to‑day coordination activities, including trade interfaces, progress tracking, reporting, and schedule management.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, as‑built documents, and validate progress claims.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records including site progress reports, NCRs, RFIs, and site observations.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of CSA experience and prior experience working in data center construction, mission critical projects or medical technology plant projects from start to handover is highly recommended.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is needed.
• Be based in Johor Darul Takzim
