Overall Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in the roadside industry, including roadside infrastructure, maintenance, and improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in planning, executing, and supervising roadside construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and timely completion. Strong leadership, coordination with stakeholders, and ability to manage multiple teams and contractors are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing overall project activities throughout planning, execution, and completion.
  • Liaise with client representatives, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure execution and quality of work.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental matters are in compliance with project’s requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members for the implementation of the project quality plan, safety plan, and execution of the contract requirements.
  • Guide suppliers and subcontractors on the company’s quality management system requirements and contract-specific requirements.
  • Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources required for the project.
  • Attend all meetings as required by the project meeting table.
  • Own time and quality targets of the project.
  • Monitor and participate in the project risk identification and mitigation plan development process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering a must.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Civil Engineering Works. Must possess experience in JKR road and bridges projects in the capacity of Construction Manager with contracting company.
  • Candidates must possess strong background in planning and managing construction projects.
  • Good leadership quality and planning skills with sound and detailed knowledge of construction methods, project management, safety and quality management.
  • Computers are literate and familiar with MS Office Application Software and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Candidate must possess the ability to speak persuasively and negotiate outcomes with diverse groups.
  • Possess valid class D local driving license.
