A Snapshot

As the Connectivity Manager, reporting to the AVP, Connectivity, you are the primary interface in between external carriers, contractors, customer implementation teams, and AirTrunk internal departments. You will work closely with the rest of the Customer Solutions, Design and Innovation team, making your mark in a number of ways:

  • Managing the on-site, last-mile aspects of carrier onboarding at our Johor Bahru (JHB) sites, and ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of carrier services by coordinating all customer connectivity requirements within the site.
  • Facilitating carrier installations, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining alignment with AirTrunk’s infrastructure standards and Carrier Access Agreements (CAA).
  • Supporting the AVP, Connectivity in engagement of related activities with carriers and all aspects of the customers’ connectivity requirements.
Your Day to Day
Carrier Onboarding & Connectivity Management
  • Oversee the last-mile onboarding process of carriers into AirTrunk’s JHB sites, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of connectivity services.
  • Manage customer connectivity requirements including conduit alignment, POE compliance, and adherence to CAAs.
  • Provide hands‑on support and supervision during carrier installations to resolve technical issues on‑site.
Stakeholder and Customer Management
  • Act as the primary liaison between carriers, their contractors, customer connectivity implementation teams, and AirTrunk internal teams (Development, Operations, Facilities Management) and General Contractor.
  • Support in the follow through on customer‑specific connectivity requirements.
  • Build effective dashboards and provide analysis/reporting on connectivity solutions and progress.
  • Identify and troubleshoot on‑site connectivity challenges, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of carrier activities, installation progress, and compliance status.
  • Provide regular updates to the AVP, Connectivity and other stakeholders.
Business Intelligence & Expansion Support
  • Study and understand customers’ current and future connectivity requirements, translating them into a roadmap for the business.
  • Develop intelligence in regional terrestrial fibre and subsea connectivity relevant to Malaysia.
  • Support planning and readiness activities for upcoming site launches, ensuring scalability and alignment with growth strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent experience in connectivity‑related project implementation.
  • Experience and relationships with Malaysian carriers, service providers, and telco contractors strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in the data centre/telecommunications industry is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia - written, presentation, verbal at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Project, Visio).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with ability to prepare reports suitable for external distribution.
  • Customer‑centric approach, with ability to manage expectations and deliver solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and collaborative mindset.
  • You excel at communication and can deliver effective presentations to customers and peers
