Job Title: Line Cook / Commis Chef (Izakaya)

Role Overview

We are looking for passionate culinary professionals to join our back-of-house team. Whether you are just starting your culinary journey or have a few years of experience under your belt, we offer a dynamic environment where you will master Japanese techniques, from precision knife work to high-heat binchotan grilling.

Pay Range: 2000-4000

Shift Patterns: 2pm -12 am (2 hours or 1 hour break) / 11am-9/10pm (weekends only)

Key Responsibilities
  • Prep & Execution: Execute daily mise-en-place, including vegetable prep, sauce making, and portioning proteins (fish, poultry, beef).
  • Station Management: Operate various stations including the Fryer (Tempura/Karaage), Sashimi/Cold Station, and the Robata/Grill.
  • Quality Control: Ensure every dish meets our standards for taste, temperature, and traditional Japanese presentation.
  • Kitchen Safety: Maintain a spotless workspace and adhere to all food safety and sanitation (HACCP) regulations.
  • Teamwork: Communicate effectively during high-volume 'rush' periods to ensure timely ticket ticket times.
