We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Contract Manager to join our team based in Semenyih, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering projects on time and within budget.

What you'll be doing
  • Works closely with project managers and quantity surveyors on project budgets and claims.
  • Manages contract-related disputes, claims, and settlement negotiations.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and legal agreements.
  • Overseeing the administration of contracts, including monitoring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing strategic advice to project stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve commercial disputes and issues.
  • Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust contract management systems and processes.
  • Mentoring and developing more junior members of the contracts team.
What we're looking for
  • Degree in Quantity Surveyor, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a commercial/contracts management role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial contracts and negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of construction industry regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite.
