CLINIC RECEPTIONIST, OUTPATIENT CLINIC SERVICES

Enter all charges and inventory correctly into the system. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all customers upon arrival with smile.
  • Well groom and tidy.
  • Received all patients directed from the Main Lobby and A&E dept with or without appointment.
  • Ensure registration is made accurately (patient demographic, preparation of forms and open a new file).
  • All hospital info is up to date.
  • Preserve patient’s right and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the safety of the patient in the clinic and as anf when outside the clinic.
  • Request all case notes a day ahead of the appointment date. Collect them on the appointment date at the Medical Record Lbrary and return them all before clinic closed. No case note is allowed to be kept in the clinic without approval from the superior in-charge.
  • All transactions of the case notes are to be documented and must not expose to the public.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the clinic and keep the clinic tidy and clean at all time.
  • Explain clearly to patient before and after treatment care needed as well as charges incurred.
  • All test results like laboratory, ECG, X-ray and etc. are to be filed immediately into the right case note.
  • All doctor’s replies are to send out on the same day.
  • Enter all charges and inventory correctly into the system.
  • Validate all guarantee letters and insurance cards immediately before treatment is provided or before admission.
  • To chaperon a male doctor during examination of a female patient.
  • Aware of doctor’s on call list.
  • Prepare to be mobilized to assist in other clinics.
  • Give assistant to other PCCA when required.
  • Strictly follow and abide all rules and regulations of the issuance and transactions of Medical Certificate (MC) Book, and maintain the cycle of cold chain.
  • To compile and submit all statistical report every end of the month.
  • To attend and participate in department meeting and briefing
  • Responsible for self improvement by participating in training and courses.
  • Follow instruction or assignment given by superior from time to time.
  • To perform any other duties without hesitation as and when required by the management.
  • To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:
  1. To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
  2. To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;
  3. To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
  4. To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
  • Participate actively in any new service that is introduced.
  • Ensure compliance of Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by Wolrd Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).
  • Ensure the policies on Patient and times.
  • Ensure all hospital policies and procedures and Hospital Accreditation are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
  • Adopt the policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards.
