Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee offshore construction activities. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, strong expertise in offshore materials, and the ability to manage a diverse team. Responsibilities include preparing project reports, ensuring safety protocols, and resolving construction challenges. Proficiency in English is essential. This is a one-year contract position with the potential for renewal.

Job description

Supervise and coordinate daily offshore site activities, including the management of specialized manpower, tools, and materials.

Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the Project Manager.

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site professionals to ensure a seamless workflow and efficient resource allocation.

Identify and resolve construction technicalities and site delays proactively to keep the project on schedule.

Assist in planning and scheduling construction phases and critical path activities.

Maintain accurate site documentation, including site diaries, attendance logs, and detailed inspection reports.

Conduct Toolbox Talks and ensure all offshore personnel are fully briefed on safety requirements and risk assessments.

Manage the proper utilization and maintenance of construction machinery, tools, and materials to minimize waste and downtime.

Availability: Must be able to join immediately (by early January 2026).

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically as a Civil Supervisor.

Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in offshore construction materials, specialized tools, and maritime safety protocols.

Work Ethic: Proactive and hands-on approach to site management and problem-solving.

Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse offshore team.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Contract Terms: Willing to commit to a one-year contract (January – December 2026), with the possibility of renewal if the project is extended.
