Job description

Our client is looking for a Civil & Structure Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis for a brownfield project at a client’s plant in Kerteh. The successful candidate will support the EPCC contractor during the detailed design phase. This role is suited for professionals with 5–7 years of civil and structural experience in the Oil & Gas sector, especially within brownfield environments, who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced project setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide civil and structural engineering expertise for brownfield modification projects.
• Deliver and review detailed civil/structural design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination and integration of designs.
• Validate existing structural conditions through site surveys and coordinate necessary modifications.
• Ensure designs meet all applicable industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Support technical reviews, constructability analysis, and resolve design-related issues promptly.
• Engage and liaise effectively with client, EPCC contractor, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly with brownfield projects.
• Strong understanding of EPCC project execution, especially during the detailed design phase.
• Familiar with applicable codes and standards such as BS, Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, etc.
• Proficient in design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, SAP2000, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to be based full-time in Kerteh, Terengganu for the duration of the contract.
