The ideal candidate will have direct experience with IPOs on major exchanges such as Bursa Malaysia (Bursa), Singapore Exchange (SGX), or Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX).

Key Responsibilities
1. IPO Leadership and Execution
  • IPO Strategy: Lead, plan, and execute the company’s full IPO journey, including setting financial timelines, structuring the capital raise, and managing prospectus preparation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial aspects meet the stringent regulatory requirements of the targeted exchange (Bursa, SGX, or HKEX) and securities commissions.
  • Advisor Management: Act as the primary liaison and coordinate the work streams between the company, underwriters, investment banks, legal counsel, and external auditors throughout the IPO process.
  • Investor Relations (IR): Work closely with the CEO to establish the initial investor relations strategy, including crafting the financial narrative for potential investors and managing roadshows.
2. Post-IPO and Public Company Management
  • Public Company Reporting: Establish and lead a world-class finance function capable of delivering timely, accurate, and complex financial reporting and disclosures required of a listed entity.
  • Corporate Governance: Implement and enforce rigorous corporate governance structures, internal controls, and compliance programs (e.g., SOX compliance, MMLR) appropriate for a listed MNC.
  • Stakeholder Trust: Maintain high transparency and credibility with investors, analysts, the Board, and regulatory bodies.
  • Capital Management: Manage the capital structure, debt financing, and post-IPO fundraising activities to support future growth and investment strategies.
3. Strategic Financial Direction & Regional Oversight
  • Strategy & Planning: Serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and Board, developing long-term financial strategies, operating plans, and capital allocation decisions to drive regional and global growth.
  • Regional Management: Oversee all finance, accounting, treasury, and tax operations across the company’s APAC and European entities, ensuring standardization and alignment with global strategy.
  • Performance & Control: Drive financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting cycles, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance and control costs effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory. An MBA is highly preferred.
  • Core Experience (Mandatory):
    • Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.

    • Substantial post-IPO experience managing public company reporting, compliance, and investor relations.
    • Demonstrated experience managing finance across multiple international jurisdictions (APAC and/or Europe required).
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep expertise in international financial reporting standards (IFRS is essential; US GAAP experience is highly beneficial).
    • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance for listed companies.
    • Fluency in large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and financial consolidation tools.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build and mentor high‑performing, multi‑cultural teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to interact effectively with the Board, investors, and C‑suite executives.
