Chief Financial Officer (Department of Finance)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of the University. This role oversees all finance-related functions including financial reporting, accounting policies, budget administration, funds management, tax compliance and etc. The candidate is responsible to administer the preparation and submission of financial accounts to the External Auditors, Audit & Risk Committee and relevant Boards. The candidate is also expected to undertake other administrative portfolio, including insurance matters, payroll, attend to various Purchases Committees in the University and service the relevant Boards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all finance-related functions, including financial reporting, accounting policies, budget administration and funds management.
  • Ensure tax compliance and preparation/submission of financial accounts to External Auditors, Audit & Risk Committee and relevant Boards.
  • Administer insurance matters, payroll, and support Purchases Committees and Boards as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; professional qualification and membership in MIA.
  • At least 20 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills; ability to mitigate financial risks.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethics and a team player.
