A leading manufacturing firm in Malaysia is seeking a CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, oversee operations, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and have over 10 years of managerial experience, preferably in manufacturing. The role involves developing financial strategies, driving cost optimization, and leading a finance team. The candidate must be proficient in English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin for effective communication with clients.
The CFO is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across a group of manufacturing companies, ensuring prudent financial management, operational efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability. The role oversees financial planning, analysis, treasury, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance, while driving financial excellence and supporting business expansion locally and internationally.
Candidates must possess Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or related professional qualifications (MIA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
Minimum 10+ years of experience in managerial role, preferably with financial leadership experience in manufacturing, and genuinely interested to be involved in business operation and management.
Strong leadership capabilities and team management experience.
Strong understanding of accounting standards, Companies Act 2016, Income Tax Act, Corporate Governance and regulatory compliance.
Experience working for Public Listed Company.
Willing to travel for outstation assignments as required.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, accounting systems and data/reporting automation.
Strong analytical and planning skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities and sound financial judgement.
Independent, self-motivated, adaptable and resourceful, creative and detail-oriented.
Comfortable working across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Able to speak in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Oversee accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and overall financial operations across the group to ensure financial health and operational continuity.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the group and company's overall business objectives.
Provide strategic financial insights to the management and Board for business decision-making.
Lead group financial reporting and consolidation in compliance with all statutory, accounting and regulatory standards and tax requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reports to management, Board and regulatory authorities.
Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency in manufacturing operations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the group finance team.
Implement financial systems, automation, and digital reporting tools.
Undertake any other responsibilities or projects assigned by management or Board.
