Job description

Oversee and perform advanced chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

Review and verify test results generated by junior chemists and lab technicians.

Ensure reliability, accuracy, and consistency of laboratory results

Responsible for perform sample register, test, record and filling test result into LISA

Test samples of incoming, in-process and out-going materials and samples from the outside

Work closely with lab supervisor to set-up, implementing and maintaining best practices in lab

Provide expert support in analytical techniques such as GC, UV-Vis, ICP, Viscometer, DSC, titration methods, etc.

Investigate non-conformance (NC) results and conduct root-cause analysis.

Offer technical recommendations for corrective and preventive actions

To manage Lab control documents and filling (COA, PDS, TDS, MSDS, etc.)

Monitoring and control of lab facilities, chemical substance and accessories used in lab

Review laboratory documents: COA, specifications, SDS, calibration logs, method validation, and quality records.

Perform lab communication with other H&R labs and the 3rd party laboratories (Intertek, SGS, etc)

Oversee calibration, maintenance, qualification, and verification of instruments

Develop and validate new analytical methods when needed.

Prepare a weekly & monthly record and report

Ensure all equipment is in good working order and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Work closely with Sales and Customer Service team for quality complaint or on-hold goods and corrective action

Assist the Sales and Customer Service team for technical support and advice

Lead formulation trials, plant trials, and product enhancement projects.

Evaluate new raw materials, alternative suppliers, and support procurement with technical input.

Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Sciences

Minimum 5 years work experience in the same field

Good spoken & written of English/ Bahasa Malaysia

Experience in analytical testing at the lab in petrochemical, biochemical or a related field

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

Knowledge in ISO 9001:2015

Knowledge in Quality Assurance is advantages
