Job summary

A leading hospitality group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Chef de Partie for their Western Restaurant. This role is crucial in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality food, and maintaining Hyatt International's standards. Candidates should possess a culinary diploma and have experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie. The position requires strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of kitchen hygiene practices. Local Malaysian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma/degree in Culinary Education.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as Chef de Partie or 3 years as Demi Chef de Partie.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.

Summary

You will be responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the Western Restaurant Kitchen in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting associate, guest, and owner expectations. The Chef de Partie - Western Restaurant is responsible for supervising the assigned station of the Western restaurant kitchen, to prepare a consistent, high-quality product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet's operating concept and Hyatt International standards.

Qualifications
  • Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open to Malaysian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Malaysia.
  • Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma/degree in Culinary Education.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as Chef de Partie or 3 years as Demi Chef de Partie in international hotels or F&B establishments are preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, and strong organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills are essential.
