Job Title: CCA Coordinator / Experiential Education
UCSI Schools is seeking a dynamic and highly organised CCA Coordinator / Experiential Education professional to lead, coordinate, and enhance the school’s Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and experiential learning programmes. The successful candidate will design and manage meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom that promote students’ holistic development, leadership, teamwork, creativity, physical well-being, and global citizenship within an internationally-minded school community.
Key Responsibilities
- CCA & Experiential Programme Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive CCA and experiential education programme for Lower and/or Upper Secondary students.
- Develop a balanced range of CCAs, including sports, performing arts, clubs, societies, leadership programmes, service learning, outdoor education, and enrichment activities.
- Ensure CCAs and experiential learning opportunities align with the school’s curriculum framework, mission, and values.
- Coordinate schedules, student participation, venues, resources, and logistics for all CCAs and experiential programmes.
- Student Development & Engagement:
- Promote student participation, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and personal growth through CCAs and experiential learning.
- Support student voice and choice by encouraging student-led initiatives, clubs, and leadership roles.
- Ensure inclusive participation, differentiating activities to accommodate diverse interests, abilities, and learning needs.
- Foster positive attitudes toward lifelong learning, service, physical activity, and well-being.
- Staff & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with teachers, coaches, instructors, and external providers to deliver high-quality programmes.
- Recruit, brief, and support CCA instructors, coaches, and facilitators.
- Collaborate with academic staff to support interdisciplinary and experiential learning initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding CCA offerings, student participation, and programme outcomes.
- Events, Trips & Experiential Learning:
- Organise and oversee school events, competitions, performances, camps, trips, outdoor education programmes, and experiential learning activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding policies for all activities and trips.
- Manage supervision, attendance, and student welfare during CCAs, events, and off-campus programmes.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Administration:
- Monitor student participation, engagement, and progress in CCAs and experiential programmes.
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation related to CCAs and activities.
- Prepare reports and evaluations to support continuous improvement of the programme.
- Utilise digital platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, activity management systems) for communication and organisation.
- Professional Contribution:
- Participate in professional development activities related to experiential learning, student leadership, and holistic education.
- Contribute actively to the school’s wider life, culture, and community initiatives.
- Uphold the school’s mission, values, and commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sports Science, Physical Education, Experiential Learning, Youth Development, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching or education-related qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in coordinating CCAs, experiential learning, student programmes, or related roles in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of co-curricular, enrichment, and experiential education practices.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of health, safety, risk assessment, and safeguarding procedures.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital platforms.
