This role primarily leads regional category strategy and growth initiatives for Cleaning / Clorox, while also managing country-level marketing execution across all brands for Malaysia - Singapore.
As Category Lead for Cleaning / Clorox: the individual plays a key role in developing unified strategies, category growth ideas, and demand creation initiatives for SEA to deliver scalable impact, commercial success, and brand growth.
Simultaneously, as Country Lead for Malaysia -Singapore: the individual drives flawless execution of integrated commercial plans and acts as the single point of contact for SEA LT and Category Leads on local market activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Leadership – Strategy & Growth for SEA Cleaning, Localization for Malaysia & Singapore
- Country Leadership – Consolidation of Commercial Execution of all brands in Malaysia & Singapore
- Culture & Talent Development
- Responsible for 1 direct report, Assistant Brand Manager for Cleaning – Philippines while providing guidance to 1 junior member located in Malaysia, Assistant Brand Manager for Glad – Malaysia, Singapore
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Brand Management function in multinational set-up
- As Category Lead: Minimum 3 years operating in a multi-market / SEA capacity with proven track record in leading marketing strategies, delivering brand growth in FMCG markets
- As Country Lead: Minimum 3 years directing country-level commercial plans, ensuring alignment with local consumer trends and regulatory requirements
- As People Manager: Minimum 3 years mentoring junior marketers on building superior brands; demonstrated expertise in developing talent, focusing on innovative brand-building and demand generating techniques while fostering high-performing teams
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, major in Business and Marketing can be an advantage
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong marketing fundamentals and strategic sense
- Has mastery of business and marketing analytics including P&L, Brand Health, 4Ps, 5Cs review
- Can develop business and brand growth strategies strategies including planning in line with choices
- Business prioritization / portfolio management
- Deep consumer understanding & insight
- Excels in product concept, proposition, innovation, renovation
- Strong integrated commercial planning, translating category vision and brand strategy into execution
- Strategic Commercial Plan Development, encompassing offline and online tactics
- Demonstrate creative advocacy
- High attention to detail, excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and influencing skills
- Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
- Excellent in project management
- Can manage and develop direct reports
