Category Executive

Is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics operations within the plant. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials and products, coordinates with various departments, and maintains compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily logistics and procurement activities within the plant, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality control teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with printers and customers for artwork development of labels.
  • Replenish labels based on customers’ confirmations and planners’ advice.
  • Follow up closely with suppliers and printers on delivery status.
  • Monitor ASCP for material management to prevent material shortages on a daily basis.
  • Manage material returns with suppliers for rejection.
  • Liaise with forwarders on import shipments, coordinate with the warehouse department and arrange delivery to plants.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
Requirements
  • Minimum diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably FMCG.
  • A highly motivated individual willing to take initiatives and follow up with details.
  • Tactful, pleasant personality, customer focused.
  • Works well in a team environment and can manage challenging situations.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication (oral and written) in English and able to communicate with all levels.
