Customer Service Cashier Responsibilities
1. Customer Service

Greet customers politely and professionally.

Assist customers with inquiries about products, prices, and promotions.

Handle customer complaints or issues and escalation to supervisor if needed.

Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service.

2. Cash Handling

Operate cash register/POS system accurately.

Process payments: cash, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, vouchers, etc.

Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to company policy.

Maintain cash drawer accuracy and report discrepancies immediately.

3. Transaction Management

Scan items and ensure correct pricing.

Pack or bag purchased items safely.

Manage queue and ensure smooth customer flow.

Handle returns and voided transactions properly.

4. Sales Support

Suggest promotions, add-on products, or upselling where necessary.

Inform customers about ongoing deals or membership programs.

5. Store Maintenance

Keep cashier counter clean, tidy, and well-organized.

Ensure receipt paper, plastic bags, and supplies are available.

Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area.

6. Compliance

Follow company cash-handling procedures.

Adhere to safety, hygiene, and security guidelines.
