Job summary

A leading airline company is seeking a Cargo Officer to manage smooth airport cargo operations. Responsibilities include handling queries from customers, monitoring GHA performance, and preparing operational reports. Candidates should have at least a high school education, 1-2 years in aviation or customer service, and strong English and Chinese communication skills. A driving license is preferred, and the role requires shift work, including long hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily incoming messages and enquiries from customers and GHA.
  • Monitor GHA for cargo build-up and ULD stock.
  • Prepare daily uplift operation and sales report.
  • Coordinate with GHA for flight schedule changes.
  • Manage inbound shipment irregularities and assist to deliver shipments.
  • Release AWB numbers and monitor AWB stock.
  • Book acceptance from appointed cargo agents.
  • Prepare variance report for billing.

Career Opportunities: Cargo Officer (22708)

The position mainly functions as cargo officer on 365/24 shift roster to ensure smooth airport cargo operations of 5x weekly freighters and daily belly passenger flights.

Key Accountability
  • Handle all daily incoming messages/enquiries/irregular cases from various GHA/HQ/customers and other station. Provides services to import/export forwarders together with GHA.
  • Give instruction and monitoring GHA for the cargo build up. Monitor ULD stock to ensure daily operation.
  • Gather and review all post flight documents for record keeping & prepare daily uplift operation & sales report correctly. To assist Head of Cargo sales to get sales target achieved.
  • Coordinate with GHA for flight schedule changes or special handling required by GHA.
  • Handle with inbound shipments irregularity and assist to deliver shipment to CNEE asap. Handle with telex if any questions from HQ or other station.
  • Tracing with system about shipments status being with connecting flight. To release AWB number to appointed agents, and monitor AWB numbers stock.
  • Booking acceptance from appointed cargo agents. To have 1st sector and allocated space confirmed subject to availability.
  • To prepare the variance report and submit to HQ for billing correct. Monitor GHA's performance and hold monthly meetings with GHA. Administration in office.
Qualification & Working Experience
  • High school/college/university graduated;
  • Driving license is preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in related aviation or customer service is preferred

  • Good in MS office applications.
