As an Assembly and Test Central Capacity Planning (ATCP) Engineer at Micron Technology, you will partner with Site team and Supply Chain to planning and optimizing Micron’s Assembly and Test Network Capacity.
Responsibilities
- Drive various capacity improvement activities to meet planned Flexcap (Flexible Capacity) Targets.
- Network Capacity balance to optimize budget, including planning for assets transfer plan.
- Key role in implementing Sites’ loading strategies and influencing Supply Planning Optimization (SPO) planning system, through minimum loading strategies and vertical integration optimization logics.
- Work closely with network stakeholders on accurate capacity representation and modeling.
- Collaborate with network cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Facilitate meetings, discussions.
- Analyze short and long term business plans through Capacity reports to ensure that manufacturing sites have the needed capacity to perform as planned.
- Understand current Capacity Models and systems (CSM and SPO).
- Understand capacity theories and parameters such as Utilization, lot size, Processing times etc.
- Monitor and work with various stakeholders to influence SPO solves to meet Site loading strategies.
- Work with tactical planning team on network capacity solutions when needed to maximize quarter revenue.
- Influence decision making process to optimize the network capacity: quarterly/monthly to support network budgeting and funding activities via network capacity balancing. Coordinate sites to optimize Capital Process by initiating asset transfers in the global network.
- Drive Benchmarking Process. Work with site IE, MFG and Engineering to understand and close the gaps in workstation performance.
- Work with Scenario planning teams and network Sites on execution of strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 2-5 years experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a role that requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understand capacity modeling concept.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to efficiently perform what-if analysis and provide data driven recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly motivated to work in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
