A manufacturing firm in Malaysia is seeking a CNC Machining Engineer to prepare and generate CNC machining programs using CAM software. The successful candidate will support process planning, assist in setup and prove-out of CNC programs, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve issues. Ideal applicants will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in CNC machining and familiarity with CAM software is advantageous.
Prepare and generate CNC machining programs using CAM software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Support process planning for precision machining parts, including selection of cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
Assist in the setup and prove-out of CNC programs on machining centers (e.g., milling, turning).
Work closely with Manufacturing, Production, and Quality teams to resolve machining issues and improve process efficiency.
Update and maintain CAM programs, tooling lists, and process documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining quality, cycle time, and yield.
Assist in first article inspection (FAI) and ensure machining processes meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Comply with company safety standards, quality systems, and ISO requirements.
Requirement:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; internship or project experience in CNC machining or CAM is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, drilling).
Familiarity with CAM software such as Mastercam, NX CAM, SolidCAM, or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T.
Basic understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and learning capabilities.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and support shop‑floor activities.
