Job summary

A leading tech company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a C# .NET Backend Developer. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SQL Server databases, and familiarity with .NET Core. You will be responsible for developing high-quality applications, designing RESTful APIs, and optimizing database performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in C# .NET development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and common design patterns.
• Experience developing applications that interact with SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with T-SQL, including writing and maintaining stored procedures.
• Experience with .NET Core / modern .NET is preferred.
• Exposure to Redis (AWS ElastiCache) for caching and MongoDB (AWS DocumentDB) for NoSQL data storage is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI tools to enhance development efficiency and quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality applications using C# and .NET.
• Design and build RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API / .NET Core.
• Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using SQL Server.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Optimize database performance and overall application scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across application and database layers.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in software development.
