Job summary

A leading headhunting firm in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Purchaser to manage purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions within an electronic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, proficiency in English, and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft AX. Responsibilities include handling Purchase Orders, sourcing new suppliers, and ensuring material availability for production. A background in sustainability reporting is also desirable. This role demands effective communication and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Process daily Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order.

Qualifications

• Possess good negotiation, proficient in English and able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• Relevant experience with ERP/MRP especially in Microsoft AX will be an added advantage.
• Analytical and computer literate.
• Proficient in using Excel.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Experience as a purchaser in Electronic manufacturing environment could be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processing.
• Manage suppliers efficiently in terms of pricing, delivery, and services.
• Drive actively the price reduction and improve supplier chain management.
• Sourcing for any new enquiry.
• Work out with planning division to ensure sufficiency of material to support mass production.
• Reschedule orders in and out based on demand.
• Handle other tasks and duties as and when requested by superior.
• Monitor, collect data and report required ESG & Sustainability data into Corporate Gensuite reporting system.
