Job description
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for components and materials required for our products.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers and manage existing supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and cost savings.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Operations, to identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Manage inventory levels and lead times, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing inventory carrying costs.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and working with suppliers to address any issues.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and inventory databases.
  • Participate in regular supplier performance reviews and annual supplier evaluations.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and developments and share insights with the wider business.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in a Buyer role in the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
