Job summary

A leading procurement firm in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is seeking a procurement specialist to select suppliers, manage inventories, and ensure material support for production. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in the electronic components industry. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Propose alternative source for sole source and long lead time component.
• Direct material purchase for electronic components.
• Ensure smooth material support for daily production requirement and reduce total supply chain lead time and cost.
• Monitor and control inventory to be at desired level.
• Coordinate procurement activities and development of strategic supplier relationships.

Requirements

• At least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent.
• 2 - 4 years’ experience & knowledge in procurement, supply chain, & material management processes.
• Candidate with purchasing background under the EMS/OEM/ODM environment will have added advantage.
• Possess excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components.
