Business Services Finance Senior Consultant

Role Description

The Business Services Finance Senior Consultant position is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced business process outsourcing (BPO) environment.

The Finance Senior Consultant is responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing all aspects of finance operations including accounting, banking and tax services for clients across multiple countries, with a strong focus on Japan-based subsidiaries of global companies.

The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, partners, and advisors to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality finance outcomes.

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for Japan and other country-specific finance processes, local regulations, and system operations. This position is ideal for professionals who are confident in client communication, leadership, and project management, and who are eager to deepen their technical and consulting expertise while progressing toward a managerial role.

Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on all finance, accounting, banking and tax related matters.
  • Communicating via email, phone, and online meetings with clients.
  • Review financial reports and ensure the accuracy of accounting entries, email drafts, cash flow projections, and payment setups prepared by other team members.
  • Overseeing the full finance cycle, ensuring accurate and compliant service delivery across finance processes, in accordance with accounting policies and standards.
  • Guiding and reviewing the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with statutory requirements and client policies.
  • Leading and contributing to continuous improvement projects within the finance service team.
  • Collaborating with external finance vendors and partners to ensure timely and accurate processing while maintaining awareness of local requirements.
  • Contribute actively to finance client on-boarding processes.
Required Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • At least 4 years of working experience, preferably in accounting, finance or similar professional services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/finance or equivalent qualification/business experience.
  • Business-level English reading and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese characters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Bonus Qualifications
