A dynamic BPO service provider based in Malaysia is looking for a Business Services Finance Associate. This role involves processing finance documents, managing payments, and supporting compliance with tax regulations. The Business Services Finance Associate position is an exciting opportunity for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced business process outsourcing (BPO) environment.
The Finance Associate supports the delivery of accurate and timely finance services to multiple clients across different industries and countries, with a strong focus on Japan-based subsidiaries of global companies.
Working under the guidance of senior consultants and managers, the role is responsible for preparing, validating, and processing finance data while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and client policies.
Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for Japan and other country-specific finance processes, local regulations, and internal systems. This position offers valuable exposure to regional finance operations and client management within a consulting environment, building a strong foundation for career growth in accounting, banking and tax services. While helpful, no prior professional experience is required, and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Receive and process finance documents from clients, record transactions accurately in the accounting system in accordance with accounting policies and standards and deliver financial reporting packages within agreed timelines.
Manage payment initiation through the online banking platform in line with the agreed payment cycle and approval process, and prepare cash flow projections.
Support tax filing activities and monitor statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Comply with finance business processes and procedures to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to all document retention, reporting and audit requirements across multiple countries.
Supporting ad-hoc projects or other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/finance or equivalent qualification/business experience.
Business-level English reading and writing skills.
Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese characters.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
Customer-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels across several countries.
Ability and motivation to learn knowledge, new systems and global finance processes.
At least 1 year of work experience, preferably in accounting, finance, or professional services.
