Job Summary

Manager, Business Development- Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei & Mongolia is a sales professional responsible for developing sales strategies and managing Distributor Team to achieve set sales goals, targets, and revenue in South Korea.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Developing & Implement BIC Route to Market in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunie & Mongolia for each category needs. Build strategic alliances and partnerships with various Wholesalers, Distributors or Sub-distributors to cover all channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Office Supply, Book Stores, E-commerce …etc.)
  • Develop and manage efficient distribution networks for sales
  • Develop efficient and creative sales and trade strategies for the assigned territory and target setting for the distributor sales team
  • Collecting customer and market feedback and reporting the same to the organization
  • Monitoring sales team performance, analysing sales data, periodical forecasting, and reporting to zonal heads
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Managing, training and motivating Distributor Sales team to drive revenue growth
  • Setting Sell-out targets for Distributor by category and sales channel
  • Recruiting and training Distributor Sales staff (if Distributor permits)
  • Allocating areas to sales representatives (if Distributor permits)
  • Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding your customer base
  • Coordination with functions such as Finance, Supply chain and Marketing.
Key Performance Indicators / Key Figures
  • Numerical & Weighted Distribution / Market Share / Visibility targets
  • Accuracy, frequency and quality of market data reporting
  • Accuracy, frequency and quality of BIC local action reporting
  • SWOT analysis of local distributors
  • SWOT analysis of Competition
  • Sales & Marketing plan implementation and follow up
  • ROI analysis of budget spent
  • Inventory Management – Should be no stock-outs or over‑stocking
  • Number/Results of proposed & implemented actions
Qualifications
  • 8 years plus proven work experience as a National or Area Sales Manager in Malaysia and experience with the South‑East Asia cluster is a plus
  • FMCG industry, Stationery, Cosmetics, Battery, Confectionary, and beverage category background is preferred
