Job summary

A global manufacturing firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to expand its products into international markets. This role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and 5 to 8 years of business development experience in the chemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, identifying business opportunities, and maintaining client relationships. Excellent communication skills in English and willingness to travel internationally are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in sales/business development within the chemical industry.
  • Willingness to travel internationally at least once per quarter.
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.

Job description

Our client manufactures raw materials that are used in a wide range of industries including engineering grade products to consumer goods manufacturing. Due to expansion to the global market, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to bring the products to the global market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the markets outside of Malaysia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Performing market research and analysis to keep up to date with changes in market trends.
  • Work closely with R&D, production, and marketing teams to align product offerings with market.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and long-term agreements with clients.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5 - 8 years of sales/business development experience within the chemical industry.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally. (minimum of once per quarter)
