Job summary

A leading franchise organization in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to drive and manage the franchise growth roadmap. This role includes new franchise acquisition, leading negotiations, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring effective cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in franchise management and a strong ability to evaluate potential investors. The role involves significant responsibility and strategic oversight to ensure sustainable growth and maintain relationships with franchisees.

Job description

Own and drive the franchise growth roadmap.

New franchise acquisition with the expansion of existing franchise outlets.

Monitor market saturation risks to ensure sustainable growth.

Lead high-level franchise negotiations and deal closures

Evaluate and qualify potential investors and owner-operators.

Approve final commercial structures in line with company policies.

Make decisive judgments to reject unsuitable franchisees or locations.

Maintain strong relationships with all key franchisees (FO).

Serve as the escalation point between franchisees (FO) and HQ.

Support feasible expansion initiatives for franchisees (FO).

Drive long-term franchisee (FO) retention and confidence in the brand.

4. Feasibility & Decision Ownership

Oversee all feasibility studies, including location, financial, and operational assessments.

Ensure feasibility assumptions reflect practical execution realities.

Provide final Go / Adjust / No-Go recommendations to the CEO.

5. Cross-Functional Alignment

Ensure business development commitments align with operational capability, training capacity, central kitchen supply, financial guidelines and etc.

Prevent misalignment between sales promises and delivery capabilities.

6. Governance & Standards

Establish and maintain standards for franchise pitch decks, feasibility templates, and approval processes.

Identify and terminate weak initiatives early.
