A leading retail management company is seeking an experienced individual to oversee the development of new outlets, manage renovations, and administer tenancy agreements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience in business development within the property or retail sectors. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this role, alongside a proven track record in negotiations. This position is pivotal for maintaining and enhancing outlet operations across multiple locations.
Lead the end-to-end process of new outlet development—from identifying potential locations, coordinating renovation works, overseeing setup, and ensuring outlets are ready for timely opening.
Deliver corporate presentations to shopping complexes and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct site surveys and evaluate potential locations recommended through tenancy meetings organised by major complexes and hypermarkets.
Work closely with property agents to source suitable shop lots or new business locations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with leasing teams of shopping complexes and hypermarkets.
Ensure timely submission of all required documentation for confirmed tenancies to complexes and landlords.
Upgrade outlet concepts in line with current market trends and branding needs.
Prepare and manage price comparison reports for renovation and upgrading projects.
Coordinate with appointed contractors on work schedules, renovation plans, and necessary work permit applications with complexes.
Ensure renovation works and design elements comply with the approved interior floor plan.
Oversee business and signage licence applications for all new outlets.
Secure event spaces, roadshows, and promotional opportunities at complexes, hypermarkets, and corporate offices.
Ensure proper setup of furniture, fixtures, and other requirements according to complex guidelines.
Review event performance, including sales, expenses, and net profit, to determine feasibility for future bookings.
Ensure timely collection of deposit refunds upon event completion.
Manage and administer all tenancy agreements and renewal contracts for the company.
Negotiate rental adjustments or increases with landlords and complex management to ensure favourable terms.
Handle tenancy termination processes for outlet closures.
Ensure all related deposits are claimed and refunded after tenancy closure.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Project Management, or a related field.
5–10 years of proven experience in business development and project management, ideally within the property, retail, or real estate sectors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively in presentations, proposals, and negotiations.
Proven track record in successful negotiation with clients, partners, and vendors to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, optimizing resource allocation, and proactively managing risks.
