  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science discipline.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within the chemical, gas, or related industrial sectors.
  • Strong execution and self‑driven mindset with proven ability to manage territories and grow accounts independently.
  • Solid understanding of chemical products.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations, negotiations, and problem‑solving with customers at all levels.
  • Strong customer relationship management and partnership‑building skills.
  • Good analytical and financial skills to evaluate business opportunities and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to work closely with technical and operational teams to support customer solutions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Willing to travel as required, including cross‑border sales activities, and possess a valid driving license.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and cover assigned sales territories as required by the company, including:
    • Pulau Pinang role: Cover Northern region as assigned
    • Johor role: Cover Johor, Batam (Indonesia), and Singapore
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth in line with changing market conditions.
  • Grow revenue from existing customers by introducing new products and services.
  • Identify, research, and develop new customers by understanding their production processes and application needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers from both commercial and technical perspectives.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate business proposals, pricing structures, and contracts.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Monitor local and regional competitor activities, including market positioning, pricing behavior, and market trends.
  • Ensure all sales and business activities comply with applicable local, national, and international regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on product changes, process improvements, and new product launches.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
