As a Business Development Associate in the Shopee Marketplace team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of sellers on the platform. You will work closely with Tier 1 brands and key sellers to enhance their performance, strategize for growth, and maximize their participation in Shopee’s key campaigns and initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Shopee sellers to support their business growth and performance.
  • Construct high-level strategic business plans to identify new sources of growth and revenue.
  • Educate Tier 1 brands on effective strategies to improve traction and sales on Shopee.
  • Negotiate deals with sellers and curate SKUs for various campaigns, promotions, online marketing, and media exposure.
  • Analyze sellers’ activities, sales performance, and category initiatives to drive transaction volume and revenue.
  • Identify market gaps and optimize pricing strategy, product assortment, and stock availability for Tier 1 brands in the category.
  • Secure exclusive partnerships with top sellers and brands for key campaigns (e.g., 9.9, 11.11).
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Merchandising) to optimize the visibility and credibility of sellers on the platform.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with availability to start work full-time in 2025
  • 0‑2 years of experience in business development, account management, sales, or e‑commerce (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Innovative problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Strong team player with the ability to meet and exceed KPIs in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent command of English, with the ability to converse fluently in other languages (e.g., Malay, Chinese) as an added advantage.
